April 2003

Well we are starting to get into the car event season. The weather is warming up and that white stuff is gone. Now we can take our cars out and start enjoying them again.

I hope you have been reading the newsletter and checking the events calendar. There is a large number of events listed. Not all of the events are connected with our club, but if you are a car enthusiast I’m sure you will find something to your liking. Our big event this month is our 25th Anniversary Party on Thursday, April 24, 2003 at Mancini’s Char House at 6:00PM. If you haven’t got your check and acknowledgement form in yet, make sure you do it immediately. Mail them to Bob Campbell. Space is limited.

We had a good turn-out at our Burger Run at Jim and Lori’s Embers Restaurant on Thursday, February 27, 2003. We had about 23 members show-up. Everyone said they had a good time and enjoyed the food.

I hope you notice the Cadillac Neon Wall Clock Flyer. We are selling this clock to raise money for our club. These are very nice looking clocks. They are 15 inch diameter clocks. The center portion of the clock shows the new style Cadillac Emblem. The outer edge of that area is trimmed with a circular red neon light, very sharp looking. The price of the clock is $55.00. These clocks can be picked up from Jan Gerecke at any of our events. If you want the clock sent to your residence there will be a $8.00 shipping and handling charge. I’ve seen these clocks advertised in car magazines for $70.00 - $80.00. This is a good deal. Mail your check and form to Jan Gerecke, 4304 Woods Way, Minnetonka, MN 55345-2970. The form is found on the clock flyer in this newsletter.

The Spring Tour is coming up soon.  The tour is on Saturday, May 10, 2003. We will be touring to Chippewa Falls, WI. We will meet at the Denny’s Restaurant in Hudson, WI. We will leave there at 10:00AM. Paul and Judy Marcello will be leading the tour. This should be a great tour. For more information see the calendar of events.

Well that’s about all for now. I’ve got to get out in the garage and get some last minute things done to the car before I take the car out this year. I’ll be talking to you next month.
