Director's Letter

January 2003

Greetings to all!

Greetings and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and yours!! I’m looking forward to the Holiday Get-Together in January on the 12^th – I hope YOU can make it too!

There is virtually no news at this time of year, sorry but that’s the fact!

I would like to take the opportunity (my last Directors Letter) to say a huge THANK YOU to all the North Star Region – it has been my pleasure to serve as your director since early 2000, that makes it THREE YEARS – wow time goes fast when you’re having fun!

The Club has grown, changed and developed in that time period. We’re now solidly over 100 Members strong and with positive momentum. We’ve got a new channel of revenue through advertising in the newsletter. We tried a wide-variety of new events and car-shows for our Cadillac’s, some were good and some not so good; but we tried and learned and built the basis for more. We’re set up to participate in the GN in 2005 combined with other regions, which will be a first for NSR and a nice way to get involved on the National event.

THANK YOU to the Board Members old and new, that group has carried the burden of getting things DONE and you should be proud of the accomplishments the Club has realized.

Also a great big THANK YOU to the Members, new and old, who have made the events so much fun with your participation and CARS!! That is what it is all about, in my opinion – getting together, having some fun, learning more about and taking care of these wonderful cars and each other too!

CONGRATULATIONS to Jerry Steelman, your new Director in 2003 – he is a very capable leader and decision maker, just what the NSR group needs! Also congratulations to the other new Board Members and Officers, you are in good hands with these people – all working hard and well together to make the NSR Club ever more valuable and enjoyable for all the Members. I’m looking forward to the future for NSR!!
