March 2003
Well one month closer to getting our cars out of cold storage. I can hardly wait to get mine out so I can start going to the many car shows and touring events. I hope everyone is praying for warmer weather.
I hope everyone has been paying close attention to the upcoming events. Remember to get your check, $34.50, and registration form into Linda Warren by Friday, March 14, 2003 if you are going to attend the Old Log Theater event on Sunday, March 30, 2003. Another big event is the 25th Anniversary Dinner Party at Mancini’s Restaurant on Thursday, April 24, 2003. Please get your checks and registration forms into Bob Campbell as soon as possible. You don’t want to miss this great event. Our Spring Tour is coming up on Saturday, May 10, 2003. Paul and Judy Marcello have put together this great tour. We will meet at the Denny’s Restaurant in Hudson, WI at 8:30AM. We will leave there at 10:00AM for Chippewa Falls, WI. We will tour the Leinenkugel’s Brewery and have lunch. We will then tour back to Stillwater, MN for cocktails and possibly supper. This sounds like a great tour. The Marcello’s always plan a great one.
I hope those of you that have and use a computer are checking our Web Site, www.northstarcadillac.org. The newsletter is now being put on the web page. This way you can see the newsletter in color. There are also other interesting items pertaining to the club on this page. We are instituting a new item for the web page. We are going to put a picture or pictures, if you have more than one car, on the web page. In order to do this we need you to send a favorite picture of your car to Jerry Steelman, S & S Development Corporation, The Internet Exchange Building, 411 Washington Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55401-1301. Just think you would have a lot of people seeing your car.
Another service we are instituting is a column showing where to go for service for your car or where to get those parts for your car. These service recommendations would come from you members. So I’m asking you to help me out with your recommendations. Please send me information on places where you have gone and had your car worked on and did a good job for you. Also send me information on part suppliers where you have found those hard to find parts, supply parts in good condition and a good price for these parts. I believe this could help the newer members who might be just getting into restoring their cars. Please send your information to Richard Moeschter, 1262 Etna Street, St. Paul, MN 55106 or email: RMoeschter@aol.com.
Well I’m all talked out, can you believe that, for this month. I’ll be looking for you at our upcoming events. Remember pray for warmer weather and no snow.
