Director's Letter
May 2003
What a great time we’ve had so far this year celebrating our 25th Anniversary! Each event seems to be better than the last.
Duane Warren says all things are set for the All-GM Show on June 8th. This is a very important fund-raiser for our club. We usually have the best turn out of cars for this show. Our hospitality tent will be open for all members. Come over and have something to eat and drink, and a place to sit and talk with old friends and meet new people.
Speaking of new members, or people who might be thinking of joining the NSR, let’s all make then feel welcome. I would like to see every member be on the welcoming committee. Some of us try to cover all the events, but help from everyone would be wonderful.
On June
28th we will have our first Saturday Driving and Lunch tour.
The tour will take approximately three hours.
It will include a drive around the Lake Minnetonka area and a stop in St
Bonifacius to see Stu Reamer’s collection of automobile badges.
If you ever attended a car race at the MN State Fair during the 50’s,
60’s or 70’s you heard his voice as the announcer.
He has been collecting badges for over thirty years and his is one of the
largest collections in the country. It
isn’t open to the public. Call
Linda Warren to let her know if you will attend so that Stu and Kay know how
many houseguests to except. From
Stu’s collection next we will drive to Victoria for lunch at the Victoria
House Restaurant. Hope you all can
join us for what should be a great driving and lunch tour.
