The Meeting of Two Cadillac's |
|||
|
This is a story from Arlo Levisen. These pictures
are from our 2003 Easter Weekend visit to Guttenberg, Iowa, to visit
Merlin Rausch and family. Merlin recently restored a 1952 Cadillac Coupe
DeVille. Our plan was to try and mate up our 1952 Cadillac convertible
with their Coupe DeVille and produce a bunch of “baby Cadillac’s”.
We tried this right on the Main Street of Guttenberg in front of
the Mississippi Café, but it turned out both of our Cadillac’s were
girls! Just
our Luck! Merlin
and I first met in May of 1994 at a auction in Ute, Iowa. Both he and I
were the only two bidders on what became his car. I later found our
convertible in Ashland, Nebraska and purchased it in Nov. of 1995.
