Well we can breath a little easier this year, we
got through the All GM show without being rained out. That means we get
some money for our club this year. That will help the treasury. We
had a great tour on Saturday, June 28, 2003. It sure is great to get a
number of members together and tour around with our cars. Please read
Dave Kotz’s great article on the tour around Lake Minnetonka and the
car emblem collection on page 3. Our
next event is the Grand National’s in Saratoga Springs, NY on July 9 -
13, 2003. Also that same week is the Iola Car show and Swap meet, July
10 - 13, 2003. Our Burger Run this month is on Saturday, July 26, 2003
at the Soda Works Drive-Inn, 2519 Marshall Street NE, Mpls. For
you members that are interested, the Car Show in North St. Paul has been
going very strong. The first night, June 13, 2003 they had over 1,000
cars. Even during the week of back to the 50’s they had between 600 to
700 cars. If you have never been there try to check it out, I’m sure
you’ll be satisfied with all the great cars. I’m
sorry, but you will probably get this newsletter a few days later than
usual. My friend who takes the newsletter to his special printer is on
vacation and wouldn’t be back home until July 9. Also I was a little
lazy this month and got started on the newsletter a couple days late. Also
Paul and Millie Johnson wanted me to remind you that there are only
three rooms left at the Winfield Inn in Bayfield, WI for the Fall tour.
If you want to go on this tour get your reservations immediately. See
the calendar of events for the details.
Jan
Gerecke advised me she has gotten in some more of those great looking
Cadillac clocks. These clocks are a real good deal. Most other places
are selling these type clocks for $70.00 to $80.00 a piece. And while
you are getting you clock from Jan, order a couple Cadillac shirts.
These are great looking shirts. Well
I think I’ve talked myself out for this month. I’ll talk to you
again next month. Richard Moeschter, Editor |
