Lake Minnetonka, MN/Emblem Collection Tour
July 2003
On Saturday, June 28th a group of Cadillac-LaSalle Club
Northstar Region members and their families gathered in Minnetonka, taking a grand tour around the lake, planned
and led by our director, Jerry Steelman. The tour started out cool and a little
cloudy, but about half way around the lake, the sun came out, warmed up, and
several convertible tops went down!
The
group, about 27 enthusiasts driving some 14 Cadillacs and one LaSalle, then
stopped in St. Bonifacius, where we had the wonderful opportunity to view Stu
Reamer’s unbelievable collection of old car radiator emblems and antique
automobile memorabilia. The Reamers are gracious hosts and Karen treated the
group to snacks and liquid refreshments, while
Stu described the story of his acquisition and unique display of his spectacular
collection, lovingly assembled over a period of several decades!
The tour then continued on to the town of Victoria, where we partook of additional liquid refreshment and a superb lunch! In spite of a little rain on the way home, a good time was had by all! Thanks again to Jerry Steelman and Stu and Karen Reamer.
